13Oct External LCDs On A MacBook Pro

I’ve been looking for a good way to hook up two Dell LCD monitors to my MacBook Pro to extend the desktop real estate. I currently use the laptop’s LCD display and a 20″ widescreen Dell monitor that is hooked up via DVI. I have access to a second Dell monitor which I’d also like [...]

07Oct iPhone Exchange Support Still Flaky

I’ve got about six email accounts hooked up on my iPhone. One of them is an exchange account for email from the office. Access to the exchange server requires that I have a VPN connection established and I have no problems with that. The flackyness I’m talking about is in reference to the status of [...]

25Sep Syncing Notes Between iPhone and Leopard

It’s been some time now between the release of iPhone v1 and OS X v10.5 and both have had their share of updates yet there is still no easy way to sync the notes from an iPhone with your mac. Why?!
I’ve resorted to using both Jott and Evernote for my note taking. The notes app [...]

09Sep Adium & Microsoft Communication Server

Anyone know how I can connect to the Microsoft Communication Server at the office with Adium? I don’t want to load MSN Messenger for the sole purpose of connecting to the corporate communication server.

03Sep Google’s Chrome

I used it for a while yesterday to handle the Google Apps and browse around. First few complaints I heard were that it didn’t work with the new FaceBook…who gives a crap?
There are some legit sites that don’t work with it though…should be interesting to see how this browser progresses in the beta [...]

14Aug Apple Mail Tip - Email font sizes

The one thing that has annoyed me about Apple Mail is that there are many times I would get an e-mail from random people and the font size of the text would be around 6-8 points. I’d always have to hit cmd + to increase the font size to where I could read it.
Here’s [...]

11Aug Gmail Downage. HTML View works

If you haven’t noticed, Gmail was down for close to an hour. Twitter was going nuts with updates from around the globe about the outage.
Basic HTML view is still available:
For regular Gmail users: http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=html&zy=a
For Google App users: http://mail.google.com/a//h/?zy=a&f=1
UPDATE: Service is restored.

03Aug Flip Mino & iMovie

I got a Flip Mino video re order the other day. It’s a cool little device that let’s me record and plugs right into my computer via USB to retrieve the footage. The file format is .avi.
Problem I am having is importing that footage into iMovie to throw some title screens and other effects [...]

22Jul iPhone & Apps

Just a few comments about what I’ve seen this far.
I know there is a rather large todo list for the iPhone devs at Apple, but one feature I’d like to see implemented is seperate signatures for each email account. Please add that to your todo list
What apps are you all using with the [...]

21Jul Twhirl: Excellent

I’ve been using Twhirl as my desktop app for Twitter the past day or so and I gotta say I’m very impressed!  It’s an excellent app built off the Adobe AIR platform — great UI, great functionality.  Kudos to the Thwirl folks

The main thing I think they still need to work on is [...]
