Ever since the gas prices have rocketed upwards (my last fill up was at $4.83/gal — the most I’ve ever paid) I’ve noticed I subconsciously started to take routes to my destinations where I encountered the least amount of traffic lights, stop signs, and also used as many right-turns as possible.  This is what UPS uses when planning the routes their delivery trucks take.

Have you done the same?  What are your driving habits like now?

Everyone noticed the gas prices rising after the elections were done right? The little widget you see on the right side of the homepage shows the cheapest gas price here in the OC to be $2.15, a 4¢ increase from the day before the elections

I’m complaining because I had to refuel on Friday after driving 260 miles.  My car only gets an average of 18.5mpg

I posted about this a few months back, but the governator will be signing into law today the banning of holding a handset to your head while driving. A $20 fine will be handed out to those motorists caught in the act beginning July 2008. Note: usage of headsets are still allowed.

Turns out the spring that pops the fuel tank door open was stuck in a compressed state and so the dealership fixed that. I wonder how the heck that could have happened.

Makes me wonder though, what other stuff will start to go bad now that I’m out of the regular manuf. warranty.

I’m almost out of gas..the gauge is almost on E and so I go to the gas station today and push the tank lid opening button and it doesn’t open! I gotta now take it to the dealership Monday morning I hope I have enough gas to get there.

I previously posted about people conversing rather loudly around the cubes and how much of an disturbance that can be.  Well, that’s nothing compared to this new situation.  It’s mostly understood that when you get a personal phone call on your cell phone during office hours you’ll walk outside or in the lounge area to take the call.  My cube happens to be near a hallway and everyday his one guy walks next to my cube and yaks away for 20 minutes and not softly either, but again it’s as if the people on the other end are deaf so he needs to speak up.
