Webex single application window sharing doesn't play well with the retina display MBP
I've got to run webex meetings frequently at work. Ever since I got the retina display MBP, I've always heard complaints that the participants could only see a very small portion of the application window that I was sharing. Webex support says to use 1024×768 resolution when sharing, but that's (1) unacceptable for me; (2) doesn't work anyway. I've got to share the entire desktop in order for it to work correctly, which sucks.
Another webex complaint: get multi-monitor support working for mac!
Update: I responded back saying their suggestion didn't work. Their response: "Unfortunately, unless all PC's can be set to the same resolution for your webex meetings, there is no other way to correct this issue." BS!

Webex needs to get their head out of their arse, detect when it's a Retina setup, and re-sample the screen at a lower resolution. Keep in mind any device with a retina setup most likely has the computing power to do real time re-sampling.
Absolutely. I've updated my post w/their most recent response.
That is pathetic, perhaps it's time to play hardball with something like…
"Unfortunately our company must now begin looking at alternatives, since you are unable to support something every Mac sold in retail now does by default"
I had the same issue w/ goto. they finally released a patch for goto like 2 weeks ago… i hope webex follows ensuite
Why not simply share ONLY the Application Windows? Thats wors but WebEx transfers the whole desktop/canvas Size. WTF! Thats unacceptable. We swithed to Gotomeeting (and have different problems) ;-/
