The home and search buttons have stopped working on my Motorola Bionic :( Pressing the home button makes the screen flicker black and show the app I was using. The search button does absolutely nothing.

I've tried restoring to factory settings and it's still doing it. Anyone have any ideas?

Found something, but it doesn't make sense. If I disable the pattern or pin lock my buttons start working.

Instead of restoring to factory settings, flash the stock rom altogether. Use RSDLite to flash the factory file.

If this doesnt work your hardware keys have gone bad.

Something is causing a s/w conflict when security pattern or pin is enabled. The buttons work fine when the pattern/pin is off.
