11Nov AVG Deletes Valid Windows File
Popular anti-virus app AVG caused havoc over the weekend when a new virus definition file labeled user32.dll (critical windows system file) as a container for the Trojan horses PSW.Banker4.APSA or Generic9TBN.
AVG7.5/8.0 users are affected. The company recommends people who have auto-update enabled delete the definition file and cancel scans that are running.
