Gmail Remote Log-off

by Sufian on July 10, 2008 · 0 comments

The Gmail team implemented a new feature allowing you to view where the last few locations that your account was logged in at and also the ability to remotely log off.  There might be an instance where you forget to log off while on a public computer.  This mistake could allow someone to gain access to your account and potentiall change the login information causing you a lot of headache.  With the new feature, at the bottom of the Gmail page it lists out where the last activity came from and links to a page that opens in a popup.  The popup displays all locations where you have an active session open and allows you to sign them off.  Kudos to the Gmail team!
