We have two SleepNumber beds in the house. They are in rooms that are adjacent to each other. Each room has a different type of SleepNumber model.

The problem, and this is a BIG problem, is that when the number is adjusted for the bed in one room, the unit in the OTHER room also picks up the remote’s signal and adjusts itself (increases the number or decreases the number based on its own current setting and how many times the person has hit the up/down arrow on the remote), and vice versa.

There has to be a way to prevent these remotes from triggering the bed in the other room. I’ve lost sleep tonight and my back is now all hurting because the other room’s bed was adjusted 3 hours ago.

This sure is selected comfort…bleh!

If you’re a Select Comfort rep, let me know if there’s a trick to doing this and or WHY this fallacy was built into your beds.

Update: As I suspected, there was a solution.  One of the Select Comfort reps emailed me instructions.  Thanks for replying this this post Kristin.
