Google just released a new version of Google Talk for the iPhone. It’s all web-based and looks clean-cut. Stuff you can do w/this version: select from contacts quicklist, search contacts, and manage multiple conversations.

What do you think of apps such as this? Do you prefer web-based apps (running entirely within the browser-space) or do you prefer installing apps on your phones?
