I received a notice last week that I’d have a blackout between 11 - 4pm today, and my digital clocks are all blinking so I can safely assume that it did occur. I was chatting with my coworkers about it a few days ago and one of them mentioned that his friend in a nearby city had one of these blackouts a few weeks back. The friend phoned SCE to inquire about it and was told that they were purposely conducting rolling blackouts in areas to get residents to vote positively for a new power plant they want to build. That’s shady!
