There’s a rumor going around that Google might acquire Plaxo. It’d be a smart decision on Google’s part as their current Google Apps offering does not have a good contact management system in place.

Plaxo is also a Google advocate, having recently also entered the social networking realm and speaking highly of Google’s OpenSocial.

What are your thoughts on this rumor? Do you think it’d be good for either company? Will it be good for consumers?
