Just wanted to clarify for those who don’t belive me..yes I did get the 17inch PowerBook. Why did I get it? My Vaio was starting to get unreliable and after my recent trip it completely stopped working. Infact, I have to figure out how to get my data off of it because it refuses to boot up and when it does it loads into XP and crashes right away.
For those of you who are anti-mac or those of you who are anti-microsoft, I’ll tell you why I got the PowerBook. I was also considering a Tecra M4, but I decided against it because I’ve noticed from a few friends who had it how the screen wasn’t as reliable as I’d want it to be.
I got the PB because I wanted to broaden my experience with the powerbook. I have XP on my desktop and am more than happy with it and I’ll say it again…each OS has its advantages and disadvantages. I like Windows, OS X, and Unix/Linux and use all three frequently throughout the week.
Now, for those mac users…this doesn’t mean I’m “converting” or “switching” to mac completely. I’ll always have my Windows machine as my main machine..primarily because I have all my apps configured just the way I want them and I built the PC with exactly the hardware specs I want…I don’t have the time to sit down and reconfigure everything.
So like Anand Lal Shimpi, I’ll be using my PowerBook and my XP machine..tho he also has a G5, but hey if anyone wants to buy one for me I’ll use that too!
